Guillermo, one of the people who was traveling in the bus on line 620 when the driver was killed, is a neighbor of the policeman who clashed with the criminals.
"We went up, he made two stops and these two criminals got up with weapons in hand, shouting '

phones.' where they went and they had shot the bus driver," he said on the same radio.
The man said that

The crime occurred on Monday, after 4:30 a.m., when two criminals boarded the bus at the stop located at the intersection of Bernardino Escribano and Cullen, in the Vernazza neighborhood.
Under threats with weapons, the thieves stole a passenger's backpack and then shot the driver even though he offered no resistance, who died on the spot.
After the crime, drivers of 86 bus lines in the western area of the suburbs, summoned by the Union Tranviarios Automotor (UTA), initiated a measure of force and made cuts to demand security on route 3 and General Paz avenue, to the height of Lomas del Mirador.
It was there that Minister Berni was attacked by the drivers, who insulted him, stoned him and hit him with their fists and kicks, for which he had to be removed from the place by personnel from the City Police Infantry and treated at the Churruca Hospital for a skull fracture and collapse of the ocular orbit.
