The photo of the plastic weapon held by Yosef Abu Jaber was published this evening (Sunday), two days after the attack in Tel Aviv, while question marks still hover over the drive-by attack that happened on Friday night.
Eli Senior published in News 13 the photo of the object, resembling an M-16 rifle, when it is broken and lying on the floor at the scene of the attack, on the promenade in Tel Aviv, in the attack in which the Italian tourist Alessandro Farini was murdered.
On Friday night, Abu Jaber, a resident of Kfar Qasim, drove his vehicle onto the sidewalk near Charles Clore Park in Tel Aviv, speeding for more than a hundred meters and hitting eight tourists, until it overturned.
The police said that "all the signs point to an attack, but it has not yet been definitively determined."
On the day of the attack, the police said that the shooting at Abu Jaber was carried out after he tried to reach for the simulated weapon.
According to the police and as the photo shows, the object fell into pieces, apparently due to the shooting by the police officers.
Alessandro Farini's body was transferred to the Abu Kabir Institute for autopsy, where it was determined that he was not hit by a gunshot, but by a run over.

Abu Jaber's family raised the possibility of an accident.
The vehicle was taken by the police and so far no technical problems have been checked. Abu Jaber has no history of security offenses, but according to media reports he was involved in violent incidents.
The records of the incident show that after he veered off the road, Abu Jaber continued to drive in a straight line for a considerable distance, hitting more and more people and injuring seven Italian and British tourists in addition to Farini.
According to them, it does not appear that he tried to escape harming innocent people.
The police clarified that the direction of the investigation is an attack.
"The investigation is still ongoing, not much has changed since yesterday in terms of the factual infrastructure. Even at the level of the details of the incident, from the moment he entered the boardwalk until the moment he overturned," they said.
"We have defined the incident as one in which all the signs indicate a felony - whether it is the level of conduct, the manner of driving, the speed and the direction, the fact that he did not stop and the weapon."
