" in the crèche described by the Igas (General Inspectorate of Social Affairs) in its report on nurseries arouses excitement.
The emotion is all the stronger as institutional mistreatment “
remains largely unthought for parents and officials alike
,” underlines the four authors of the report.
The latter investigated 36 public and private childcare establishments and also relied on the responses of 5,275 directors, 12,545 crèche employees and 27,671 parents to a questionnaire to draw up this picture of childcare.
A quarter of the respondents to the “
professional
” questionnaire indicated that they had already worked in an establishment which they considered to be abusive towards children.
