Hürth – On Saturday evening (April 29) both the music show "The Masked Singer" and the improvisation format "Because they don't know what's happening" competed with Barbara Schöneberger (49), Günther Jauch (66) and Thomas Gottschalk (72) as well as a repeat episode of "Der Bergdoktor" for the attention of television audiences.
Now it is clear who won the odds duel.
Success for ZDF: "Bergdoktor" repeat performs better than ProSieben and RTL
As

DWDL number center , “The Masked Singer” was just ahead of “Because they don’t know what’s happening” among the total audience.
The music format reached 1.81 million viewers and a market share of 8 percent, while Barbara Schöneberger, Günther Jauch and Thomas Gottschalk tuned in 1.66 million.
In the target group of 14 to 49 year olds, however, the singing show had an even clearer lead and, with 0.82 million television viewers, took second place after the "Tagesschau", while the RTL format was only able to attract 0.51 million viewers.
The reason that ProSieben was able to attract more television viewers could be the duration of "Because they don't know what's happening".
Because the format is usually just under four hours - a considerable broadcasting time that some viewers may not have wanted or been able to follow to the end.

"The Masked Singer" and "Because they don't know what's happening" were similarly popular with the general public, but ProSieben and RTL had to cede the ratings win of the evening to the public broadcasters.
Because the repeat of the "Bergdoktor" episode "Feuer (1)" on ZDF trumped the two competing formats by a lot with 2.89 million viewers and a market share of 14.1 percent.
Especially for a repeat show that ran at 7:25 p.m. and thus before prime time, an impressive achievement that underlines that the home series with Hans Sigl (53) is still popular even after the end of the 16th season in February mouth is.

With "Der Quiz-Champion - Das Promi-Special" at 8:15 p.m., ZDF got its best performance of the evening from the total audience of 3.41 million viewers and even overtook the broadcaster's own show by Giovanni Zarrella, last week's 3.07 could inspire onlookers.
