FIGARO LIVE – Tuesday May 2, in the first part of the evening on France 2, the adventurer and the comedian go to meet the Inughuit people. A trip that was not easy for the duo.

Four-day journey, extreme temperatures at minus 30 degrees... The conditions of Jarry's

"Rendezvous in Unknown Land"

, broadcast Tuesday May 2 at 9:10 p.m. on France 2, proved to be particularly difficult.

It was in Greenland that

Raphaël de Casabianca

took the comedian a year ago to discover the Inughuit.

There were very few episodes in the great cold

”, recalls the presenter on the set of “Buzz TV” this Monday, May 1.

Before leaving,

Jarry

was hoping for a warm country because he “

loves being in his underwear all day

”.

Missed.

"

We slept in a tent in the middle of the ice floe with a rather disturbing thing, it was that there was never night

", still remembers Raphaël de Casabianca who did not sleep much during these three weeks of 'dispatch.

"

The brain is messed up.

We no longer know when to get up, what time it is.

We are lost and, when there is a snowstorm, we no longer see anything.

And that's where Jarry cracks up one morning.

He cracks so much that he loses his mind a little.

He called me by another first name!

The body and the mind have dropped

”, reveals the ex-host of “Echappées belles” on France 5.

Another difficulty: the polar cold.

To survive in these extreme conditions, it is recommended to eat six times a day.

At one point, Jarry forgot to eat and he passed out

,” recalls Raphaël de Casabianca, who then fed him fat so that he could withstand a sled ride.

Greenland is also a land of hunting, which goes against the convictions of the comedian.

Although the son of a hunter, he is very committed against this practice and is committed to marine biodiversity.

But in this country, it is a matter of survival.

We understood that, for them, hunting was not a hobby but a need to live.

If they didn't have bear skin on them, they would die of cold

,” adds Raphaël de Casabianca.
