Lichtenfels – Fire drama in Upper Franconia: Shortly before a dog sport tournament, a club house in Lichtenfels, district of Lichtenfels, burned down completely.
In the early hours of Saturday, May 6th, the building of the dog sports club was on fire.

Early on Saturday morning, around 3.45 a.m., a dog sports club house in Lichtenfels went up in flames.
The house burned down completely.
Particularly tragic: At the weekend, a dog sport tournament should have taken place there on a northern Bavarian level.
The tournament is also the reason for the enormous damage to property amounting to 100,000 euros - because various measurement technology, light barriers, computers and starting cards were destroyed in the fire.
“All of our electronics, all computers, timing systems, light barriers on our dog sports equipment.
Of course, they were there last night so that it can be set up immediately tomorrow," reports Lars Reichelt, 2nd board member of the dog sports club - and was a firefighter himself in action during this tragic incident.

The cause of the fire is completely unclear – the police are investigating
Not an easy task for Reichelt, as district fire chief Alexander Klose knows.
"He was also deployed here and was also one of the first respiratory protection teams to be deployed.
I've already spoken to him before.
Well, the damage is there, fortunately he's doing well himself," he said of Reichelt.
The cause of the devastating fire is still unclear at this time.
The police have now started an investigation into the matter.
