While Willifood said it would not raise dairy prices ahead of Shavuot, it announced on Monday that it would increase the prices of other products, such as rice and tuna, by an average of 5 percent.
Willifood said in response: "Against the background of the price increases of the players in the dairy market, the subsidiary Euro Dairies Europe announced that before Shavuot it will not raise prices for the various cheese products it imports from its countries of origin.
"The price increases in a small number of Willifood's products, such as rice and tuna, come after a long period in which the company did not raise the prices of its products, and due to a sharp increase in the prices of products abroad, the company decided on a moderate increase of 5 percent. In these products, the company strategically maintains its brands as an alternative to quality products at winning prices."
