East Jerusalem: Young Arabs clash with Border Police forces and fire fireworks and stones at them (according to section 27a)
Dozens of youths clash Tuesday evening with Border Police forces in Isawiya in East Jerusalem. The youths fire fireworks and stones at them, and a private company bus that accidentally entered the scene caught fire, apparently after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at it.
The forces respond with crowd control measures and operate with the help of fire and rescue forces to extinguish the fire. The bus driver, a 72-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was evacuated by MDA staff to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in the city.
Shalom Barhoum, an MDA medic, said: "When we got to the gas station, we saw the bus on fire a few dozen meters away. The driver told us that he had accidentally entered the neighborhood and when they recognized him, he was attacked and managed to escape to the nearby gas station. He suffered from mild smoke inhalation and after initial medical treatment with oxygen he was evacuated in stable condition for further treatment at a hospital."
