The 8.4% that marked April's inflation was the straw that broke the camel's back. Hugo Moyano then accelerated the negotiations underway with the business chambers of cargo transport to reopen the joint agreement of Teamsters, signed last October, and agree on an additional wage increase in the face of the escalation in prices.
The management did not have expected success at least in that objective, but the union leader did not leave empty-handed and still took advantage of the negotiation: he agreed with the companies of the sector a millionaire contribution for the social work of the guild for the next 6 months.
The understanding reached on Monday by Moyano and the rest of the truckers leadership with representatives of the Argentine Federation of Transport and Logistics (FAETYL); the Argentine Federation of Business Entities of Freight Transport (Fadeeac) and the Argentine Confederation of Automotive Cargo Transport (CATAC) established a monthly employer contribution of $ 3,200 per worker for the May-October semester, intended to finance the union's medical provider.
Based on the 200,4 workers affiliated with the union, the contribution signed by the chambers will represent for OSCHOCA, the social work of Teamsters managed by Moyano's wife, Liliana Zulet, an extra income of $ 000,<> million during the semester.

"It is an extraordinary contribution that they asked for the complicated financial situation that the social work is going through," a business director of cargo transport told this newspaper, who remarked that it is the first time that Truckers raises the claim for assistance of these characteristics, a contribution that is usual and is extended in other activities.
Additionally, the agreement signed by Moyano Sr. also established that companies in the sector with more than 100 workers that do not have a maternity room must reimburse their staff with dependent children between 45 days and 3 years of age.
This additional corresponds to the recent decree of the Executive Branch which established that in collective labour agreements companies may provide for the replacement of the obligation to have day-care centres by the payment of a non-remunerative sum as reimbursement of expenses for this concept.
However, the union's proposal to reopen a joint agreement for the activity did not prosper. Last October the parties had signed a staggered salary increase of 107% and the payment of an extra bonus of $ 100,000 also in installments. According to this understanding, the quotas of the increase were: 27% with the salaries of November; 27% from February 2023, another 27% with salaries from May and the remaining 26% next August.
Moyano intended to advance the tranches of the increase that have not yet been settled and discuss further improvement. But the chambers argued with the data of the salary evolution and accumulated inflation, and warned that the recomposition set in the agreement is more than 10 points above the price rise of the period.
Thus they refused to discuss an extra increase and instead advanced in the discussion of the leader's request for assistance for social work and the payment of the additional for nurseries.
Away from the day-to-day management of the union, despite maintaining the position of assistant secretary, Pablo Moyano did not participate in the negotiations with the chambers of the sector. The scene again evidenced the estrangement in the personal and political bond with his father, a situation that was also palpable last week during the act that the CGT held at the Defensores de Belgrano stadium.
