The eighth edition of the RTL show is now scheduled for autumn 2023 - but its cast does not convince some viewers at all ...
"Summer House of the Stars" cast for 2023 has been confirmed - and is causing questions despite Obert and Co.
The rustic farmhouse in Bocholt in the northwest of North Rhine-Westphalia will soon get prominent residents again: For the eighth "Summer House of the Stars" season, luxury lady Claudia Obert (61), actor and author Eric Stehfest (33) and party pop singer Tim Toupet (51), among others, have been hired, as RTL officially announced on Monday (May 15).
But the new "Summer House of the Stars" candidates are apparently not known to everyone: Shortly after the announcement of the upcoming cast, criticism of the eight couples who will fight for 50,000 euros in the reality show is piling up in the comment columns on Facebook, Instagram and Co.

"Summer House of the Stars" viewers disappointed by candidates: "Who is all this?"
"I don't know any of these Z-celebrities and don't see the need to close this knowledge gap," says a fan of the Facebook page Extratipp and reaps massive encouragement: "I always read stars, for me there is not a single star. It's all just self-promoters and influencers!" Users are also venting their displeasure on the official "Summer House of the Stars" Instagram account: "Bad selection", "I don't know one" or "Who is all this?", it says.

Those who know one or the other star still seem dissatisfied: In particular, the participation of Valentina Doronina (23; including "Ex on the Beach") and Aleks Petrovic (32; including "Temptation Island VIP 2022") are causing horror among some. On the other hand, there is only a lot of praise for one candidate that most people are apparently already really looking forward to: fashion entrepreneur Claudia Obert.
