In the vehicular attack that took place last February, Avraham's children, Yaakov (5) and Asher (7) Pali, and Shlomo Lederman (20) were murdered. The father was very seriously injured and spent a month in the intensive care unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem on a ventilator and anesthetized with significant damage to his legs.

Avraham underwent a difficult and intensive rehabilitation process, and during the long rehabilitation period he even gave birth to a son in the hospital. Now, as he bids farewell to the staff in the rehabilitation department, Pali thanked them: "Bless all the officials, who cared for and cared with dedication from the moment I arrived at Hadassah, in the intensive care unit and in the surgical ward, in the delivery rooms and in the maternity ward where the staff acted with sensitivity and warmth towards my wife's bees and of course in the rehabilitation department on Mount Scopus. They didn't give up even in difficult times, even when it was challenging, and gave me energy and hope. I thank everyone for their accompaniment during the difficult moments and also in the moments of light that we were privileged to have."
