The Air Force programmed American bombs so that they could accurately penetrate buildings and used them in targeted killings in Operation Shield and Arrow, IDF sources confirmed on Wednesday. "The Americans have the bomb, but the geniuses of the Air Force know how to make it enter the window of the building," a military source said. "When the level of planning for the operation is among the highest in the world and taking into account the temperature, range, wind and altitude - it is possible not only to hit a bull with a bang, but also to minimize environmental damage, which is very important for international legitimacy."
These are SDB bombs, weighing a total of 125 kg bought from the United States. Their nickname in the Israeli Air Force is "hail-sharp" and can be dropped by the three fighter jets: F-15, F-16 and F-35.

According to Air Force sources, what is special about the bomb is that it is small and accurate. It can be dropped from a range exceeding a hundred kilometers - thus maintaining the principle of surprise of the enemy who does not necessarily hear or see the fighter aircraft. Each contains 16 kg of explosives and thus each fighter aircraft can carry a large amount of bombs of this model. The bomb's navigation systems are very advanced and allow it to automatically identify the target - followed by GPS assisted locking that allows exceptional accuracy in attack.
