The young boy came close to death for, it seems, a banal story of phone theft. This Sunday evening, in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine), a 14-year-old boy was seriously injured and hospitalized in absolute emergency, after being stabbed twice during an attack involving a group of several young people from the Pablo-Picasso city.

It was around 20 p.m. that the events took place, in circumstances that remain to be determined. According to a police source, four teenagers were going up Avenue Joliot-Curie, not far from the sports palace and the Gabriel-Péri stadium, when they crossed paths with their attackers, barely older than them. The latter allegedly threatened them to steal their mobile phones.

The alleged perpetrator is only 16 years old

A violent altercation ensued, during which several stab wounds were exchanged. "The victim was hit twice in the stomach," said the same source. The scene would have taken place in front of several witnesses, not far from the beach of Nanterre where there are still many visitors in the early evening.

Quickly taken care of by the firefighters, the 14-year-old teenager is transported in absolute emergency to the Beaujon hospital in Clichy, but his prognosis is not engaged. According to our information, the victim was still hospitalized on Monday morning, but his life would not be in danger.

His alleged attacker, aged 16, fled and tried to take refuge at the sports palace, before being arrested and taken into custody. The Nanterre police station is in charge of the investigations.
