On the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, the Government Press Office (GPO) is releasing to the public dozens of photos from the Yom Kippur War taken by GPO photographers during the war and painted with artificial intelligence technology by the Government Press Office.
The photographs from the National Photograph Collection paint a vivid and moving picture of the war and present in a new light the events, characters and emotions that took place at that time in the shadow of the most difficult war Israel has ever known.
Among the photographs are pictures of IDF soldiers in battle, concerned civilians on the home front, young people trying to mobilize to defend the inhabitants of the cities, and leaders who went to visit the battle zones.
