During the official ceremony in Washington, D.C., Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas presented Ambassador Michael Herzog with the document confirming Israel's formal acceptance of the visa waiver program. The ceremony was also attended by Israeli representatives from the Population and Immigration Authority and the Ministry of the Interior.

At the same time in Israel, an event was held by National Security Council head Tzachi Hanegbi on the occasion of Israel's joining the US visa exemption program in the presence of Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Once officially approved, to enter the U.S. you will need to issue a certificate called ESTA. This is a form that can be filled out online and is answered within 72 hours of submission. The permit in question will be valid for two years and will cost $21. Those who were previously denied a visa application for criminal reasons or for fear of settling in the United States, and those who remained in the country beyond the permitted time without a permit, will have difficulty obtaining a permit to enter the United States in this format, and may be referred to the embassy for the purpose of issuing a visa.
