Against the background of the removal of Post Chairman Mishael Vaknin by Minister of Communications Shlomo Krei and his reinstatement by the High Court of Justice, Minister Shlomo Krei flew to the World Postal Congress and it was claimed that postal representatives were not invited. A postal source: "We learned about the fact that the minister flew only from media reports."

The Postal Union's annual conference was held this year in Saudi Arabia and the Post Office decided to attend virtually. It should be noted that at the annual conferences, postal representatives are invited to participate by virtue of being members of the union.

Israel Post said: "The company's representatives will participate in the conference virtually this year, as has been done in various cases in the past. The company did not receive an invitation to come to Saudi Arabia as part of the Israeli delegation."

On the other hand, the minister's spokesperson claimed that postal representatives were invited by email, and in response the postal representatives said that they would participate online. The minister's spokesperson presented the emails sent on behalf of a representative of the Ministry of Communications.

A postal source said, "We have indeed informed the ministry of the intention of the company's representatives to participate virtually in the professional sessions. This is a professional conference, which we participate in every year as members of the World Postal Union. However, at no point were they invited to join an Israeli delegation to Saudi Arabia, or were they even informed of the ministry's intention to physically attend the conference. We learned about the departure of a delegation of the Ministry of Communications from press reports."

In response to the reports, Minister Qari responded on Twitter: "Do you think the shofars will apologize for the libel? You laughed. We will continue to work for you at the Ministry of Communications, and especially during this week's historic visit to Saudi Arabia, and they will continue to look at every action and achievement of this government with an evil and petty eye. Not too bad, so they'll have a narrow, crooked eye."

In addition, Minister Qari added the email correspondence showing that on behalf of the postal representatives they will participate online.

Do you think the trumpets will apologize for the libel? You laughed... We will continue to work for you at the Ministry of Communications, and especially during this week's historic visit to Saudi Arabia, and they will continue to look at every action and achievement of this government with an evil and petty eye. Not too bad, so they'll be left with a narrow, crooked eye.
