According to a senior US official, today (Sunday) at 7:00 a.m. (US time) there was a telephone conversation between National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and National Security Council head Tzachi Hanegbi.

The conversation was followed by an extensive staff meeting at the White House, attended by President Biden, the foreign ministers and defense ministers. Biden later spoke with Netanyahu, who told him that "this was an unprecedented day for Israel." In their conversation, the president offered Netanyahu his full support for Israel and even emphasized the close coordination between the US military and intelligence teams. Afterwards, senior White House officials spoke with their G7 counterparts and updated them on the events.
"We have made it unequivocally clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu and to Israeli officials across their political spectrum and national security spectrum that we are ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the government and the people of Israel," the statement said.

The senior official also reported that a conversation had been held between the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Kurilla, and IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy, and that Israel's security needs had been discussed in the chain of command. The senior official reiterated that any side hostile to Israel that seeks to take advantage of this situation must be careful.
