On Sunday, the Israeli flag was projected in a number of locations throughout Kharkiv and Kiev. At the initiative of Kyiv's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, the blue-and-white flag was projected on most electronic screens in the capital.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Zelensky spoke by phone. Zelenskyy's office said: "I spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu to emphasize Ukraine's solidarity with Israel, which is suffering a huge and borderless attack, and to express my condolences to the multiple victims. The Prime Minister updated me on the current situation and the actions taken by the Israel Defense Forces and law enforcement authorities to repel the attack. I noted the cooperation between the Israel Police and Ukrainian diplomats in all matters pertaining to protecting the safety of Ukrainian citizens in Israel. We also discussed the implications of the attack on the security situation, in the region and beyond."
A few hours after the surprise attack, Zelensky issued a lengthy statement of support for Israel, and in the evening devoted most of his daily address to the nation in support of Israel, in which he updated on the developments of the war against Russia.
