Because of the scale of terrorism and brutality during Saturday's Hamas attacks: The European Union announced on Monday the immediate suspension of payments to the Palestinians, the Hungarian representative to the European Commission, Oliver Varhei, announced. His statement came a few hours after senior EU officials clarified that no European money was transferred to Hamas and that contacts with the organization had been frozen for 16 years, since Hamas is also a terrorist organization according to the European Union.
This follows the German government's announcement that it is reexamining the transfer of hundreds of millions of euros in aid to the Palestinians. Development Minister Svenja Schulze said the government in Berlin had always ensured that the money was used for peaceful purposes, "but these attacks on Israel have led to a terrible breakdown. We will examine our entire commitment to the Palestinian territories." According to her, Germany will discuss with Israel how to maintain development plans in the region.

Earlier today, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg announced that his country was suspending all its aid to projects in the Palestinian Authority. That's a total of $20 million.

The arrest was made after materials about Abu Rashid were exposed in an Ad Kan investigation published by Israel Hayom. The investigation revealed how, under the guise of human rights and charitable organizations, Hamas operatives in Europe work to raise funds for the terrorist organization.
