Jackie Azoulay appealed to web surfers yesterday (Tuesday) for their help in renewing the supply of bread as part of a volunteer activity of the "Fighting Marouf – Cooking with Love" association for preparing food rations for soldiers, in which she is currently participating.

In a series of stories, she documented the shortage encountered by the association, and in the same breath urged businessmen to help it replenish its inventory. On Wednesday morning, she received a particularly generous shipment from the north thanks to a donation from a person who chose to remain anonymous.

Azoulay's remarks, which were covered in an article here in Israel Hayom, reached Menashe Shemesh, owner and CEO of Kayem Technologies, which markets green cleaning products. Shemesh approached this writer with a promise that he could help Azoulay supply the bread and asked him to help him connect with Azoulay. This morning, Shemesh arrived to meet the chef in Tel Aviv with over 1,000 fresh pita breads and dozens of boxes full of salads.

In a conversation with us, an emotional Azoulay expressed admiration for the special contribution. "There is no such person! He came in the morning, brought me a thousand pita breads and salads that are prepared in his restaurant. I'm telling you, I've never seen anything like it. Just an angel," she said.

Menashe Shemesh recounted the sequence of events: "I came to Jackie Azoulay after reading the article on your website, which noted the lack of bread for the dishes for IDF soldiers. At the same time, I contacted a source who wishes to remain anonymous, but donated a thousand fresh pita breads and fifty boxes of salads such as: hummus, tahini, eggplant, vegetables and more. We brought this abundance this afternoon to Linui, my daughter, and I to Jackie's restaurant."
Shemesh added that while volunteers were wrapping up the vehicle to unload it, he met Azoulay for the first time.

"I met a woman of kindness, with bright eyes. All she cares about in difficult moments is how to do everything she can to benefit IDF soldiers and security forces," he said, promising: "Tomorrow we will arrive with another shipment."
