Baraka added that there was no outside involvement in planning the attack and that the terror group's allies "supported us with money and weapons. Iran is the main funder of weapons and ammunition, as well as Hezbollah." Regarding Russia, he said it had been updated on the strike and the targets of the battle and claimed that Moscow was pleased to see that the war with Gaza had distracted Washington from the war in Ukraine.
"Even Russia sympathizes with us and sent us messages on Saturday morning. There is sympathy. It's gratifying that the U.S. is getting entangled in the Palestinian issue because it reduces their pressure on the war in Ukraine," Barka said, declaring that among the goals of the battle is a demand for the release of Palestinian prisoners in the United States. "We have prisoners sentenced to life in the United States and we call on America to release our children. The U.S. dealt a prisoner swap with Iran, so why shouldn't it do the same with us?"
Barqa is an official Hamas representative in the terrorist organization's branch in Lebanon. According to CNN, the branch in Lebanon does not always coordinate with the branch in Gaza and the West Bank, partly because of the difficulty in moving between the sectors.
