Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday offered to mediate between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization, warning of an IDF ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
"Conflicts must be resolved peacefully," said the Russian president, who a year and a half ago launched an invasion of Ukraine that claimed tens of thousands of lives.
Putin made the remarks during an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, explaining that "the important thing now is to stop the bloodshed." Since Hamas began its surprise attack on communities near the Gaza Strip on Saturday, media affiliated with the Russian regime have taken a blatantly anti-Israeli line, and some commentators have even publicly expressed support for Hamas.
