The nightmare to which Israel woke up on the morning of October 7 is accompanied by a painful and terrifying issue, the issue of visual documentation, and the question that has been in our heads and hearts for ten days: Is it appropriate and appropriate to watch this coverage?
Dozens of videos documenting the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists are circulating on social networks, especially on Telegram. All of them are difficult to watch, disgusting and full of evil, and present in color scenes that correspond with black-and-white documentation from the days of the Holocaust.
The shocking videos were presented to foreign diplomats and leaders as a means of propaganda, so that the magnitude and scope of the evil would be fully understandable to them.
The US national security adviser burst into tears on live television as he tried to describe what he saw to an American presenter, and other figures also expressed shock and astonishment after being exposed to pure evil.
On the other hand, the official platforms of the State of Israel refrained from distributing the documents, and the Israeli media decided not to broadcast them. Parents were urged to ban their children from browsing and using certain apps to avoid a situation in which trauma would pop up before their eyes.
The decision not to officially and broadcast the atrocity is understandable and justified. The broadcast of the segments is intended to weaken, intimidate and reward Hamas, which wants to intimidate the citizens of the state and has viciously and willingly disseminated some of the footage as weapons of war.
I believe, however, that despite the "sterility" imposed on themselves by official news and political bodies, every Israeli, Jewish and Arab, must watch the videos in order to remember and not to forget.
It is necessary to look directly at the face of evil, to digest what cannot be digested, to internalize in the most terrifying way who is the enemy who has risen up against us and what he is capable of, and what the fate of a Jew may be if he does not defend himself. Slowly grasp what has happened and will happen if we do not erase those who perfect ways of abuse and murder to a monstrous level.

This week, Israeli hero Avigdor Kahalani called on fighters expected to fight on the ground against Hamas SS terrorists to put the enemy's actions before their eyes. Watching videos is difficult and can trigger nightmares and sow fear, but it is a civic and Jewish duty to remember and not to forget.
It is important to note that around the world there are already those who are trying to deny and minimize the atrocities, among anti-Semites and in Western anti-Israeli media, including the British BBC, where a discussion was held questioning the intensity of the events. In order to insist on the meaning of the words "never again", it is necessary to understand in the most concrete way what exactly we will not agree to never be again.
The murder is too serious, too vicious, too sick and too Nazi to turn your back on. It must be etched into Jewish and Israeli consciousness for generations to come. The voice of our brother's blood cries out to us from WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and other networks. A cry that is important to hear and see.
