This is measured not only in the words spoken to the people living in Zion, but mainly in ammunition, political backing and military might on Israel's side in the face of the threat from the north. This support comes at a price. And although it was not pleasant to discuss it while the generous president was still in Israel, when he took off from Israel, and against the background of the renewed barrages on the center of the country from Gaza, it is impossible to continue denying it. $100 million to the Gaza Strip, a humanitarian corridor through Egypt for the passage of medicines, water and fuel, and no compensation on the Israeli side.

While 200 abductees, including babies and children, women and the elderly, are being held by the enemy, the Israeli government has given up a vital bargaining chip to preserve their lives and return them to Israel's borders. It allowed a third country to loosen the blockade declared on the Gaza Strip and further removed any chance of a prisoner return deal.
The State of Israel under Netanyahu's leadership and the current military command backbone has been doing so for years. Despite the demand to prevent various humanitarian measures to return the bodies of Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul, the government ignored it and continued to strengthen Hamas.
And now, when there are hundreds of civilians living at the hands of a murderous terrorist organization, we are once again seeing the same wanton behavior. Hamas will receive money and aid, because the United States has no ability to guarantee that the supplies will not reach it as was done with UNRWA's assistance, and Israel will receive more murder and blood from Hamas. It's as simple as that.
It is no coincidence that at the first cabinet meeting after the outbreak of the war, Minister Yisrael Katz initiated the unanimous "humanitarian for humanitarian" resolution, according to which aid would be provided only in return for progress in returning the abductees to their homes. Israel acted to cut off the supply of electricity, water and fuel to Gaza, and is now opening the rift with American pressure.

Once again, at the last cabinet meeting, cabinet ministers such as Katz, Smotrich, Ben-Gvir and others fought against the opening of the siege on Gaza, and after hours of discussion, no decision was made.
The ministers understood that the humanitarian pressure on the Gaza Strip was significant for the lives of the abductees. Netanyahu, too, in a series of evasive statements, announced that no aid would be given to the Gaza Strip, and then the American president arrives and decides for the State of Israel in the small cabinet that exactly the same aid will pass.
If it weren't so frightening, we could laugh at being an American protectorate. The gratitude to the United States is made on top of the fate of the abductees, with the political echelon leading instead of leading and providing flimsy explanations by the way. We deserve more than that.
