Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and member of the political-security cabinet, Yisrael Katz, appealed to Justice Minister Yariv Levin on Tuesday evening with the aim of immediately advancing the establishment of a special military tribunal that would apply the Nazi crimes law and their collaborators to the Hamas murderers who participated in the attack on the State of Israel on October 7.

"As the son of Holocaust survivors, I believe with all my heart that this is not a far-fetched comparison, since the despicable acts of the Hamas wrongdoers who beheaded, cut off limbs, abused, burned and raped are no less severe than the acts of the Nazis, their names will be erased," Katz wrote, calling on Justice Minister Levin to "promote as soon as possible the establishment of a special court that will deal with these cases in the fastest and most efficient manner."

Today, the Nazis and their collaborators law provides retroactive criminal application to crimes committed during the Holocaust. Katz wants to establish a special military tribunal, based on the model that exists in the United States, and apply the law to the Hamas murderers who participated in the October 7 attack.

The law would include the death penalty for Hamas murderers, allow civilians to be tried for treason and aiding terrorism, and revoke the citizenship of supporters of terrorist organizations, including Hamas.
