This was announced by the Tyrolean State Police Directorate in a statement. According to witnesses, the fire broke out in the kitchen on Friday afternoon (27 October) and then spread to the roof of the house via the chimney. The 20 or so people present in the restaurant quickly noticed the fire and immediately left the building.

For the tenant of the alpine pasture, things ended less lightly. While trying to extinguish the fire with the help of a fire extinguisher, the 34-year-old Austrian was injured in the hand to an "undetermined degree".
