Yesterday, the UN General Assembly called for a humanitarian pause between Israel and Hamas. The proposal passed with 120 votes in favor, 14 against, and 45 abstentions.
Foreign Minister Eli Cohen responded to the UN proposal on Twitter, tweeting that Israel "rejects out of hand the despicable UN call for a ceasefire. Israel intends to work to eliminate Hamas just as the world acted against the Nazis and ISIS."
In addition, the UN General Assembly rejected Canada's proposal to add a condemnation of Hamas' terrorist campaign to the resolution.
