In light of the secret contacts for the release of the 239 abductees in Gaza, Fox News recently reported that Israeli officials had landed in Qatar.
24 days after the horrific massacre in the communities near the Gaza Strip carried out by Hamas terrorists, efforts continue to return the abductees from Gaza. Qatar's name has been mentioned more than once in various reports about it being an intermediary for a future deal.
In a meeting held last weekend between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant with representatives of the families of the abductees, the two promised that the release of the abductees is one of the goals of the war in Gaza, and that any military move will take into account the risk in the situation of the abductees.
