Unknown assailants sprayed Stars of David on Jewish-owned homes across the French capital and its suburbs, raising concerns among the country's Jewish community, which is already feeling tensions following the fighting against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
According to the French Jewish Students Association, Stars of David of the same shape were sprayed in a similar manner on Jewish homes in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, as well as in the suburbs of Auberville and Saint-Ouen, east and north of the capital. "There are those who want to terrorize the Jewish community in France using methods taken from the <>s. They need to be found and punished quickly," the organization said in a statement.
Raquel Garrideau, a member of the French National Assembly, said: "This is a repulsive and unacceptable incident. We need to support the victims of these anti-Semitic acts."

The Alliance school in Fauillon-sous-Bois, a suburb east of the capital Paris, was evacuated from its 2,000 students after receiving an anonymous threat of intent to harm the institution.
Authorities acted immediately and evacuated all students and staff to a nearby stadium, where parents were instructed to go to take their children home. There were no casualties during the incident.
