As part of the evacuation of residents from the western Negev and the northern border due to the "iron swords" war, 15 communities with active branches of the Bnei Akiva movement were also evacuated.

The entire movement mobilized to operate the branches even in the hotels to which the residents were evacuated, and the communists of each branch move with the campers to the new hotel or location of the locality where the branch is located.

"Localities with our active branches were fully transferred to all kinds of places in Israel, from Eilat, through the Dead Sea to the Kinar resort center near the Sea of Galilee," says Bnei Akiva Education Deputy Secretary General Asher Nahmias.

Asher notes that "what is happening now is that the branch's communist, who on a daily basis prepares educational content for the branch, creates a special activity, under our guidance, for this new reality. We have developed a whole doctrine for operating in such a reality."

The Deputy Secretary General of Education further notes that "we transferred to each branch a complete package of educational and other equipment. These are movement shirts and kits of general educational activities."

In addition to organizing branches that moved to new locations, Bnei Akiva also mobilized to help other evacuee communities that are not affiliated with the movement and do not have branches.

"We have a fulfillment wing that coordinates the movement's graduate students, students from our student villages, Shinshins (twelfth grads who postpone enlistment in the army by a year in order to contribute to the community) and our Shlep students. All of them enlisted and joined our effort to help the evacuee community," says Nahmias.
