Highlights: Jordan, Bolivia, Colombia and Chile recalled their ambassadors from Israel in solidarity with the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza. In fact, throughout the continent there is a wave of regime changes in favor of the left, which makes relations with Israel shaky. The same is true in Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela. In Israel, a general strike began yesterday in Palestinian cities in Judea and Samaria to protest Israel's military activity in Gaza and yesterday's bombing of Hamas headquarters.

Jordan, Bolivia, Colombia and Chile recalled their ambassadors from Israel in solidarity with the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza.

First was Bolivia, which announced yesterday morning that it was severing relations with Israel altogether. The other two countries, whose presidents are not sympathetic to Israel, to say the least (Chile also has a large Palestinian community), announced that they were calling on their ambassadors to Israel to return to their countries.

Will return for "consultations"

Jordan's official news agency said on Monday it had recalled the ambassador in Tel Aviv for "consultations." "We have informed the Israeli Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem not to recall their ambassador to Amman," the statement said.

It should be noted that the Israeli ambassador to Jordan and the embassy staff were transferred to Israel immediately after the outbreak of the war, after severe demonstrations broke out near the embassy building in Amman, and an angry mob called for attacks on the embassy staff.

Chile said the ambassador would be recalled for consultations. President Gabriel Borik said Israel was violating international humanitarian law in Gaza and condemned its actions. Colombian President Gustavo Petro said that "if Israel does not stop the massacre of the Palestinian people, we will not be able to stay there."

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement that "Israel condemns Bolivia for supporting terrorism and surrendering to the Iranian regime, which testify to the values that the Bolivian government represents." In fact, throughout the continent there is a wave of regime changes in favor of the left, which makes relations with Israel shaky – the same is true in Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Hayat said of the move by Bolivia, Colombia and Chile: "Among the victims of the Hamas terrorist attack are citizens of Colombia, Chile and other Latin American countries. They must not toe the line with Venezuela and Iran, which give a tailwind to the Hamas terror organization."

General strike in Judea and Samaria

Meanwhile, a general strike began yesterday in Palestinian cities in Judea and Samaria to protest Israel's military activity in Gaza and yesterday's bombing of Jabaliya targeting Hamas headquarters. Commercial establishments, banks and educational institutions in Judea and Samaria remain closed.

Similar to the marches organized in recent days, school children were seen in protest demonstrations praising the military wing of the terrorist organization in Gaza. Yesterday, the funeral was held in Jenin for the three men killed at night in an operation carried out by the army to thwart terrorism, during which senior Fatah official in Jenin, Ata Abu Ramila, was arrested.

At the same time, a Palestinian was reported killed in clashes in Tulkarm. According to Palestinian reports, he is a 65-year-old man with a disability.
