Matti, the owner of the apartment, told Israel Hayom: "There was an alarm and my mother and husband went downstairs. And we went back up. After a minute there was another alarm, but this time I delayed a bit because I wanted to catch the cat. My husband called to me, 'When do you come quickly, go downstairs.'I said, 'One second,' went to get the cat, went downstairs, we went into the dimension and closed the door."

"Then there was such a loud boom that the window flew out of the safe room, everything flew in all directions and it was just shocking. God, if we hadn't made it to the safe room, I don't want to think about what would have happened. After a few minutes we went outside - everything was ruined. Stones and glass from the second floor to the basement - everything is completely destroyed. You can't stay at home, there is a smell of gas, burnt electrical cables, glass everywhere, shocking."

Matti emphasizes the importance of being in areas protected by sirens: "And it's not a cliché, it's important, it's important that everyone listens and doesn't belittle and go down to the safe room.I wouldn't be here today and my husband and mother wouldn't be here now if we hadn't entered the safe room. The house is so destroyed that people can't believe anyone will come out alive."

Santz Shai Tiram, a Dan District Operations Officer who arrived at the scene: "Not only were the members of the household not hurt, but people outside the house were also not hit by shrapnel because they were in a protected area. We repeat it over and over again: following instructions and entering a protected area during an alarm saves lives."
