A resident of Rishon LeZion was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of posing as a dentist in a private clinic in the city, without having a license to practice a profession or education and certification in the field of medicine. In addition, he is also suspected of failing to report his income to the tax authorities.

Vitaly Rochlenko, a man in his 50s who works at the V-Dent clinic in the city, is suspected of performing dental treatments such as extractions, crown treatment and dental cleaning for at least three years – even though he knows he is not allowed to do so. He was arrested after the police received a report that he was posing as a dentist, even though he did not have the education, certification and license to do so, and that he did not have a doctorate – even though this is how he has been presenting himself, allegedly, for years.

Police investigators took testimonies from victims affected by Rochlenko's treatment of them. Alongside various findings collected as part of the investigation, an undercover policeman came to the clinic where Rochlenko works to receive "treatment" from him, during which he performed a medical examination and even presented him with a "medical diagnosis" and a price quote for treatment. At the end of the "treatment", Rochlenko was arrested.

Subsequently, after the suspect's arrest, the police searched the clinic and seized many documents that bolster the suspicions against him, including dental photographs and mouth bites suspected of belonging to patients, and even various medications that were illegally held there. The police intend to transfer to the State Prosecutor's Office all the findings collected against Rochlenko, who is suspected of impersonating a dentist, forgery, receiving something fraudulently, and underperforming medical or surgical treatment.

The police believe that there are other victims who paid out of their own money to receive the "treatment" at the suspect's clinic, in a way that caused them medical damage – and therefore call on the public that was harmed by him to file additional complaints with the police.
