Like many citizens, businesswoman Nicole Reidman is worried and outraged by the situation in Israel – and finds herself pondering the future of the country.

She shared her anger and fears with her 1.4 million Instagram followers on Wednesday night in a long, emotional post in which she spoke of her collective guilt and the dream of peace being dashed. "Thoughts about the future of the State of Israel keep me asleep, we all live in a surreal and terrible reality in which we have lost sight," she wrote.

"More than 1,400 people were murdered in the horrific massacre on October 7, soldiers fighting battles with terrible losses, hundreds of people kidnapped from their homes, families destroyed without homes, hundreds of thousands evicted from their homes, collapsing businesses, people struggling with anxiety and mental health problems, children turned orphans. That's the price we're paying for decades of total blindness," the 37-year-old star added.

"We are all to blame. We abandoned them, we abandoned the state. We have reached our lowest bottom. We dealt with the care and not the main thing. We lived in a virtual reality bubble where we sat in cafes in Tel Aviv and thought 'it's going to be okay,'" she wrote. "I, as a realist and conscientious person, who is always in favor of human rights, social equality, with all my liberality, have chosen for years to be on the right from the knowledge that 'security comes first.' I wasn't naïve, I knew that the ideology of peace was a bluff. People got confused and lost their rationale, we divided into left-right with deep hatred within us. I was never afraid to express my opinions, I stood firm and paid a heavy personal price. I was never part of the Berenger and for that I make no apologies."

She continued: "Today, after our greatest destruction, reality has changed. There is no right, no left – this era is over. If there are still opaque people who do not understand what reality we live in, it is time to wake up. I do feel a change. People who thought there was hope for a shared future understand that it is lost. On the day that the war ends, and it ends only when all the hostages return home and Hamas is destroyed, that there will be no threat to the country from either the south or the north, we will begin a new era. This time it will be different."

"We all understand it's either us or them. Living in peace with them will never happen," she asserted emphatically. "We, the October 7th generation, must do everything for the future of our children and the security of our country. If this time we are not united as one people, we will not succeed in recovery. We have no other country, and there never will be. Anyone who is unable to raise the national flag with pride and stand firm in defense of the State of Israel, should take himself and fly away. Anyone who dares to speak out against our soldiers, who sacrifice themselves for the country, as far as I'm concerned, is an enemy. The era of soul beauty is over."

"There will not be two states here, we will not continue to fund them, there will be no peace here. Do they want freedom? They are free. Let them go wherever they want, they are not our problem anymore. All that needs to occupy us is how we, the people of Israel, will remain alive and united forever!"
