Beating terrorist brigades and eliminating senior figures: The IDF struck the northern Gaza Brigade, which is the second largest in the Hamas terrorist organization. In an attack on the tunnel in which Hamas commanders were hiding, under civilian homes and near the Indonesian Hospital, IDF forces, under the intelligence guidance of the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence, eliminated the brigade commander, Ahmed Ghandour, the brigade's deputy commander, Wael Rajab, and other senior figures, including the commander of the brigade's aid battalion, the head of the National Trade and Labor Directorate, and the head of observations in the northern Gaza Strip.

Ahmed Ghandour served as a member of the military wing's small council and was responsible for directing and managing all terrorist activities carried out by the Hamas terrorist organization in the northern Gaza Strip.
Concurrently with the elimination of the commanders in the northern Gaza Strip Brigade, the commander of the Beit Lahia Battalion, the commander of the Central Jabalia Battalion, and terrorists in this brigade alone were eliminated. Due to the damage to its command post and infrastructure, the functioning of the northern Gaza Strip Brigade was significantly impaired.
The Gaza City Brigade is the largest brigade in the Hamas terrorist organization. In Gaza City there are many military outposts as well as production sites and weapons depots in the heart of the civilian population. Gaza City is a prominent example of Hamas' use of the civilian population as human shields.

IDF forces, under intelligence guidance from the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence, eliminated four battalion commanders in the Gaza Brigade, among them: the commander of the Sabra Battalion, the commander of the Shati Battalion, the commander of the Darj Tafah Battalion, and the commander of the Shejaiya Battalion.
The Sabra Battalion was significantly damaged, and in addition to the battalion commander, commanders in the central command avenue were eliminated and the battalion's infrastructure and headquarters were put out of use.
In the Shati Battalion sector, IDF forces took over major strongholds. The battalion is responsible for Hamas' central headquarters, including Hamas headquarters at Shifa Hospital, whose underground infrastructure was thwarted. In addition, the brigade's anti-tank commander, the air system commander and the naval system supervisor were eliminated.
