Even during the swearing-in ceremony for his son, Minister Gadi Eisenkot is participating Wednesday evening in a meeting of the War Cabinet held at the Kirya in Tel Aviv.
Eizenkot remembered losing his son, Staff Sgt. (Res.) Gal Eisenkot, who fell last week during the fighting in Gaza. He fell together with Sergeant Major (Res.) Eyal Meir Berkowitz in an activity that enabled the return of the bodies of the abductees, Major Ziv Dado and Eden Zakaria.

In the same week of his son's fall, Eisenkot's nephew, Sergeant Maor Cohen Eisenkot z"l, who served in the Golani like his uncle, also fell in battle in Gaza.
