Sergeant Major (res.) Elisef Shoshan, 23, from Jerusalem, a soldier in the 6646th Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade, the "Marom Foxes" Brigade (646), who fell yesterday in battle in the central Gaza Strip, was laid to rest today (Sunday) at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl.
Shoshan's mother is Dr. Valery Shoshan, the Chief Medical Officer of the Israel Police. She eulogized him: "My beloved son, I can't believe you're not with us anymore. About 23 years ago we brought you into the world. You were a light in our house regularly."
His relative Asher Shoshan eulogized Grief on his Facebook account: "My Elisef, my beloved of my heart, my treasure child, our angel child. Our hearts are bleeding, a big hole has opened in our hearts. You are not the salt of the earth, you are the earth with all its regalia, with all its fruit, you are the landscape, you are the sunset, you are the joy, you are the youth, the goodness, the light, the compassion, the love. Yotam Willner, Elisef's childhood friend, also eulogized him on his Facebook account: "I don't know what to say or how to say. The tears don't stop falling.
