Reports of widespread power outages across the country: So far, residents report that the electricity has partially fallen in the following places: Haifa, Safed, Dimona, Ashkelon, Rishon LeZion, Givatayim, Rosh HaAyin, Bnei Brak, Ramat Gan, Yokneam, Petah Tikva, Be'er Sheva, Ra'anana.
The IEC said: "Earlier tonight there was a halt in the activity of two production units. This outage caused congestion and caused power outages in several locations throughout the country. Alternative generation units went into operation and most of the power was restored, the malfunctions reported by consumers across the country are not the result of a cyberattack, but a malfunction in a production unit that supplies 250 megawatts. The system has carried out 'load shedding' and new production units are now being put into operation in order to overcome the malfunction. In some places, the electricity has already been restored."
