Nitai Meisels, 30, fell in battle in Gaza today. The little boy on the right in the wedding photo. Since then he has grown into an amazing man but I have known Nitai since the day he was born in Baltimore, USA.
I live in Israel today solely because of his parents, Eitan and Ayala. I lived in their home in Rehovot on and off from the age of 13 to 20. They were everything to me > pic.twitter.com/SII5o2E0tS

Sgt. Nitai Meisels was born in Baltimore, USA. In the 90s, the family moved to Baltimore for a few years for the postdoc of Eitan, a scientist by profession, where Nitai, the youngest son of the family, was born.
Staff Sgt. Nitai Meisels was in the tank of Maj. Arie Rein, an armored officer in the 79th Battalion of the 14th Strike Brigade, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip as a result of an anti-tank missile. Both were killed in the same incident.
Sgt. Nitai's friend from the company said: "Nitai was a very professional fighter, a very good friend who always helped anyone in need. He loved to travel and would always start the conversation with a joke but do the job in the most serious way possible."
His funeral will be held at 13:00 at the Rehovot Military Cemetery.
