A fatal accident in New York is being investigated as a possible terrorist incident: two people were killed and five injured on the night between Monday and Tuesday (US time) in Rochester, New York. A car crashed into another car caused the fatal accident that hit pedestrians as they were leaving a concert.
"The force of the collision caused both vehicles to pass through a group of pedestrians who were in the crosswalk, and then into two other vehicles," a New York Police Department official said. "Following the crash, a large fire broke out that took the Rochester Fire Department almost an hour to extinguish."
According to the source, a Ford car collided with a Mitsubishi. The two Mitsubishi passengers were killed instantly, and the driver of the Ford is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Three pedestrians injured in the accident were taken to hospital, one of them in critical and life-threatening condition, and two with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators who arrived first found twelve gasoline tanks in the Ford car that collided with the other car. "We continue to work with our federal partners and the FBI to further investigate this case," the police official said.
