The new assistant coach of the German U19 national team is called Daniel Jungwirth. The ex-professional succeeds Fabian Hürzeler, who recently joined the FC St. Pauli coaching staff.

When the 2020/2021 international season is due in September , there will be some new faces at the German Football Association . One of these new faces is Daniel Jungwirth , who succeeds Fabian Hürzeler . Jungwirth will work alongside Christian Wörns as assistant coach for the U19 of the DFB. Hürzeler, on the other hand, is moving to the second division FC St.Pauli, where he will be assistant coach for the new season.
Daniel Jungwirth's previous coaching positions
For Jungwirth, who will continue to work for the BFV , being an assistant trainer is nothing new. The 38-year-old already held this position at FC Erding and Türkgücü Munich. With Türkgücü he was promoted to the Bayern League in the 2017/2018 season , but due to disputes he left the club after just one season. "The DFB said I fit the requirement profile well," reports the ex-professional. Jungwirth also reveals : “I already knew one or the other at the DFB - including Christian Wörns .
