Tölz keeps the game against Kassel open for a long time, but desperately at 0: 4 at the keeper

The lions were mad.
They knew very well that they were not as far from the front runner as the result suggests.
The Tölzer had to admit defeat to the Kassel Huskies on Tuesday evening with 0: 4.
They kept the game open for a long time, missed numerous chances, acted too cumbersome in front of the Huskies goal, failed to make a profit when the guests switched back a little.
It was a close game until the final third.
"We would have only needed one goal to come back," said Löwen coach Kevin Gaudet.
“We couldn't do that, that's why we couldn't win.” In the end, there was a little lack of strength and perhaps a little cleverness in the end to avoid the clear defeat.
One goal used, four received
Kassel was not overwhelming that evening.
The championship leader showed little art, but a lot of efficiency.
"A tough team, it wasn't easy to get chances, they barely allowed anything in the first 30 minutes," said Gaudet.
And if so, then there was Gerald Kuhn between the posts.
The Lions kept up well in the fast-paced game, initially also defending confidently, even if they lacked the injured Sasa Martinovic on the defensive.
For him, Markus Eberhardt moved into defense and interpreted the role very aggressively.
Chances on both sides, but no goals: Maximilian Franzreb in the Tölzer Kasten fended off all the targets that got through.
Kuhn, on the other hand, also got enough to do.
Lubor Dibelka, Luca Tosto, Marco Pfleger, Reid Gardiner and Mario Pfleger found their master in the Kassel keeper.

Sometimes the Lions lacked the courage to take risks; they often tried a pass instead of looking for a degree.
And in the second section they ran after a deficit after Kassel increased the pressure in the power play and Ryan Olsen scored 1-0.
The goal activated Tölzer reserves.
Kassel traditionally shifts back a little while in the lead, the Lions put pressure on and pushed for compensation.
"After the 0-1 we had very good chances," says Gaudet.
“Above all in excess.” The lions forced the huskies to make mistakes, to punish them.
But the three Tölzer power play situations turned out to be too harmless, too playful.
Again Dibelka and Gardiner missed the best opportunities to equalize.
Pfleger preferred to put the target across than shoot.
Mario Lamoureux had plenty of time to finish but aimed just over the angle.
Frustration-laden slap shots
And instead of the compensation, Kassel increased.
Derek Dinger met from the blue.
"After the 2-0 draw it was very difficult for us," admits the Löwen coach.
The frustration was noticeable to the Buam, discharged in some angry slap shot, for example by Philipp Schlager.
But there was no getting past Kuhn, and when Lois Spitzner scored 3-0 from the slot, the Tölzer resistance flagged.
Brett Cameron's crack in the corner was no longer relevant.
In the end, the third defeat was in the third game against Kassel.
All games were close.
