There are new elections in the Schützengau Freising - and there will be far-reaching changes.

How and when the meeting can take place is still unclear.

District

- Normally the shooters from the Gau Freising would have a particularly exciting appointment in the coming weeks: After all, the new election of the board of directors is due - and this will bring serious changes.

Such an event is currently and not even in the foreseeable future.

However, there are some simulation games that the almost 60 shooting clubs from the Gau could choose.

Freising's Gauschützenmeister Valentin Harrieder would prefer to hold the meeting in presence with the delegates of the clubs.

To this end, the Gau is currently examining whether a postponement of the new elections from April into autumn is legally possible with regard to the board of directors who have remained in office until then.

This is, so to speak, the variant of playing for time.

The other option would be an online meeting with the club representatives.

The Gau Freising is waiting for a corresponding software, which is currently being developed by the Bavarian Sport Schützenbund (BSSB).

This program should be made available to the districts for these events and - legally watertight - cover the most important points at meetings: The executive boards must be relieved for their work and also for the cash management.

The nervousness in the clubs is great

New elections like in Freising are the next step.

Harrieder emphasizes that this offer will soon be made available to the clubs.

He also knows that there is great nervousness in the clubs after the meetings had to be canceled due to the pandemic in Corona year 2020 and nothing has been possible this year either.

The treasurers need relief everywhere, more and more clubs are waiting for the board elections.

The Freising Gauschützenmeister used the second lockdown to prepare for the big change in his board team: The two Gausport leaders Reimund Seibert and Edgar Pröpster had already announced their departure - and the two deputies of the Gauschützenmeister, Franz Siebler and Christine Daum, no longer stand for optional.

Valentin Harrieder wants to go on again in order to carry out the major event that was canceled in 2020 with the District Rifle Day in the coming years.

"In my conversations I received a lot of positive feedback," says Harrieder about his preparations for the election.

He is convinced that he can present very good candidates to the clubs.

Philipp Wöhrl is intended for the post of 2nd sports director

Harrieder has already mentioned one name: Philipp Wöhrl from Nörting is earmarked for the position of 2nd sports director.

As before, he will tend to work in the background, but he is an indispensable person: Wöhrl wrote the software for Gau Freising and will continue to be the face of digitization in the future.

The Nörtinger is currently working on a new website for the Gau and is predestined for sports management due to his special skills.
