2022-02-11T05:53:12.543Z

Noa Solush finished the Super G competition, in 34th place overall after crossing the finish line in a time of 1: 17.94 minutes

A great achievement for the Israeli skier Noa Solosh, who today (Friday) finished the Super G competition, in 34th place overall, which is for her her highest ranking at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

The 19-year-old Solosh, a native of Hungary and the daughter of a Jewish father who trains in Austria, got on the track and presented an almost clean surf and did not take too many risks, but was fast enough to cross the finish line in a time of 1: 17.94 minutes. 34, so it was possible to see her great joy at the end, when she got down on her knees in the snow and raised her hands to the sky.

This result is for her her best place in the Olympic Games, after being ranked 41st in the slalom track while in the giant slalom competition, she was disqualified in the second round and was not ranked, when it should be remembered that she is also Israel's first ever skier in the Winter Olympics.

The winner of the gold medal was the Swiss Lara Gut, who finished in a time of 1: 13.51 minutes and was 22 hundredths ahead of the Austrian Miriam and Pechter.

Third place went to Michel Gissin, Gutt's teammate with 1: 13.73 minutes, when a big disappointment was recorded for the Czech Esther Ladzka, who was the big splash of the Olympics four years ago in South Korea and this time settled for only fifth place.

Solosh, represented Israel at the 2020 Winter Olympics for Youth in Lausanne, where she won a silver medal in the combined profession (AC) and a bronze medal in the Super G.

Her father, Peter, represented Israel in the early 1990s and was a pioneer in the industry in Israel, when he participated in world championships, but failed to achieve impressive results.

At a young age, when he was still single, he decided to immigrate to Israel and was absorbed into Israel.

For those who do not know, the Super G track (short for Super Giant Slalom), is a significantly faster track than the other tracks, with less crowded flags and therefore allows the surfer to gain a lot of speed.

This end is defined as the "technical" end of the "Down Hill" end.

On some routes there are sections where the competitor reaches a speed of 110 km / h and more.
