Borussia Dortmund was shot at by fans with pyrotechnics before the Champions League game against FC Copenhagen.
A professional escaped a disaster.
Dortmund – Ugly scenes in the Champions League: Before Borussia Dortmund's home game against FC Copenhagen on Tuesday evening (kick-off: 6.45 p.m.), there were riots in the away block.
Flares were ignited, one landed near the BVB players during the field inspection.

Before the start of the match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Copenhagen, fans of the Danish club fired pyrotechnic flares at the spectator stands in Signal Iduna Park and the pitch.

, fans of Copenhagen's city rivals Brondby IF triggered the escalation.
Accordingly, Brondby fans traveled to Dortmund and wanted to storm the away block dressed in yellow and blue before the game.
According to a statement from the Dortmund police, there had already been a minor argument between supporters of Brondby, the club from the Copenhagen suburbs, and FC Copenhagen in the city center on Monday evening.
BVB Ultras maintain a friendship with fans of Copenhagen city rivals Brondby IF.

FC Copenhagen fans apparently tried to defend their block using pyrotechnics and flares.
A BVB professional was almost hit.
A pyrotechnic flare landed on the pitch near Marius Wolf during Dortmund's inspection of the pitch, while team-mate Nico Schlotterbeck recorded some of the scenes with his cell phone.
Apparently nobody was injured.
The crew then returned to the dressing room.
The game could still be started on time.
