The trip to EV Lindau ended on Friday evening anything but happy for EC Peiting.

In the end, the highest defeat of the season was recorded.

Lindau – The games in the last Oberliga main round between EC Peiting and EV Lindau always ended with a one-goal difference;

with two wins for each team.

In the first duel of the current season there was a clear result on Friday evening - and with a 1:8 defeat, that was anything but what the Peitingen team had hoped for.

For the "Islanders" it was the first home win of the season.

ECP trainer Anton Saal didn't want to judge his team too much: “There are games like that.

The boys know themselves that today was nothing.” From the ECP point of view, the game started “not bad at all”, said Saal.

But he also noticed an early slacking off.

He saw something similar recently, in the 7:4 victory in Landsberg.

Unlike then, things didn't end well this time.

In the second third "we fell completely apart".

After all: In the final section, the ECP pulled on the belt despite an almost hopeless deficit: "The only positive thing," said Saal.

EC Peiting loses significantly at EV Lindau

Peiting started with aggressive forechecking, but the Lindauers were able to get out of trouble after a few minutes.

As a result, ECP goalkeeper Konrad Fiedler had to parry a few shots from the “Islanders”.

The people from Peiting had the better chances: Felix Brassard hit the crossbar (8th), Marc Besl failed free-standing (10th).

When the game threatened to flatten out, the Lindauers struck twice within 15 seconds: the starting point in each case was an action by Skylar Pacheco;

As a result, Florian Lüsch scored from a stab to make it 1-0 (18th) and Vincenz Mayer after a counterattack to make it 2-0 (18th).

The ECP had another power play before the break, but Thomas Heger (shot from the post) and David Miller just missed a goal.

Lindau twice with a brace within a few seconds

The middle third was bitter from the ECP point of view.

Immediately after an unsuccessful Peitinger power play (with top chances for Heger and Brassard), Lindaus met Eric Bergen with a one-timer from the blue line to make it 3-0 (27th).

This was followed by an abstruse seven minutes with many penalties, in which each team – both doubles and singles – was outnumbered and outnumbered.

No goals were scored.

As in the first third, the "Islanders" scored twice: Martin Mairitsch scored to make it 4-0 (35'), 22 seconds later Artus Sevcenko increased it to 5-0 (35').

A Peitinger puck loss in front of their own goal - Manuel Bartsch had the puck stolen - even gave the EVL the 6:0 through Marvin Wucher (38th).

"We're playing it too complicated and too slow," Bartsch said during the break.

By the way, it wasn't down to ECP keeper Fiedler,

that the guests were so clearly behind.

He had prevented worse in the middle third with various strong saves.

Curious: The statistics showed a shot ratio of 18:17 in favor of the ECP at the third break.

In the final third, the ECP tried hard and got stuck several times in the Lindau defense zone.

Andreas Feuerecker failed with a shot (46'), followed immediately by EVL keeper Matthias Nemec's reaction against Markus Czogallik (47').

The Lindauers were luckier: Sevcenko made it 7-0 (50th) with a one-timer after a face-off won.

Lukas Gohlke used a pass from Quirin Spies to make it 7-1 (56th).

The final point was 8:1 by Alexander Biberger (60th) with a double advantage.
