One event, five disciplines, 40 clubs: marksmen continue a tradition

Several hundred starters are expected at this event: The district shooting has been going on in Polling since Friday.
This time it will not be organized by a club.
Polling - It's a special shooting that takes place between November 4th and 13th in the Schützenheim of SG Pollingia Polling.
Because the organization of the competition with its many different ratings has not been taken over by a single club this year, but by the Gau board.
The process is so coherent that the Gau Weilheim also has a special event to celebrate this year: its 100th anniversary.
However, Andreas Schwarz, 1st Gauschützenmeister, also hopes “that there will be clubs again in the next few years that will host the traditional Gauschützen,” according to the announcement.
However, he is also aware that the hurdles for the clubs are getting higher and higher.
On the one hand there is the “enormous effort”, on the other hand there are “legal requirements that are increasing from year to year”.
9th combined district shooting takes place at SG Polling
In the Schützenheim in Polling there should be some activity during the competition period - the official opening shot was fired on Friday.
After all, women, men, young people and children from 40 clubs are eligible to start.
In Gau Weilheim there are shooters from two districts (Weilheim-Schongau, Garmisch-Partenkirchen).
There are 15 electronic shooting ranges and four light gun ranges available in the Pollinger Schützenheim.
As is usual with district shooting, the individual clubs have been allocated shooting times in advance.
Shooting takes place in the disciplines "air rifle", "air pistol", "air rifle rest", "air pistol rest" and "light rifle".
Winners are determined in various ratings (master rating, eagle rating, anniversary target, etc.).
There is also a competition for the best teams.

The Gauschützenkönige are also shot out, with air rifles, air pistols and on condition.
On top of that, there is a separate rating for the Gauschützenkönigin (the adult woman with the best airgun divider) and the youth king or queen.
Gauschützenball on November 19 in Wessobrunn
The award ceremony and award ceremony, including the proclamation of the Gauschützenkönige, will take place as part of the Gauschützenball on Saturday, November 19th, in the multi-purpose hall in Wessobrunn.
The organizer of the social event is the rifle club Forst.
The music band Forst plays for the dance.

At that time, the host was the VSG Peißenberg on the occasion of the anniversary "100 years of market elevation".
362 shooters took part in the eighth edition of the combined district shooting (with air rifle, air pistol, edition).
The district shooting itself has a certain tradition in Sportschützengau Weilheim.
The competition for the "air rifle" discipline is taking place for the 77th time this year.
This is the 27th time that the air pistol shooters will be at the stands, and for the target shooters it will be the third district shooting.
