On the eve of her return to the new right, MK Ayelet Shaked spoke on Tuesday (Tuesday) with the new right, Minister Naftali Bennett, to conclude with him the terms of the joint running of the two. To Walla! NEWS learned that during the talks, Shaked asked Bennett to pledge that if the party did not go through polls close to the closing of the five seats, the two would work together with another party. Bennett, it was learned, would not agree to it.

Shaked's request reveals her main concern that the new right-wing party, which was placed in second place, will not pass the blocking percentage in the upcoming elections. This concern comes as a result of the fact that the party remained out of the Knesset in the first round elections, which lost only 1,400 votes, and in the second election, despite the widespread union with the religious Zionist parties, the list received only seven seats.

At the weekend Shaked decided to run for the New Right, and in the summation between her and Bennett, she will be placed second on the list but will have authority with him in compiling the list, holding office elections, budgetary decisions and more. Near the dispersal of the Knesset, Shaked was much debated about her path and, among other things, explored the possibility of returning to religious Zionist leadership.

Shaked tried together with Minister Bezalel Smutrich and political activists on the right to promote open primaries in favor of a large religious list that would unite the Jewish home, the national union, Jewish power and other factors. These attempts were largely unsuccessful because of the staunch opposition of Jewish House Speaker Rafi Peretz to be part of such a move.

Meanwhile, the disconnect between Rafi Peretz Jewish National Chairman and National Union President Bezalel Smutrich is ongoing, and the parties are not holding talks for a reunification of the parties or a joint run in the upcoming elections. The disconnect stems from the fact that Peretz signed an agreement for a joint run with Jewish power, without Smutrich's knowledge and at the expense of some of the vacancies on the list. Peretz acted like this after believing that Smutrich was working to promote with open almond primaries in religious Zionism to oust him.

Peretz also faces outrage within his party due to the disconnection with the National Union, and so far he has not brought the joint run agreement with Jewish power to approve the party's center and has not set a deadline. In recent days, the Jewish House has tried to join a union with Jewish power, other parties, and a senior Peretz's neighbor has approached the Noam party affiliated with the Haredi stream to explore such a possibility. The party refused, claiming that they refuse to act as a pressure lever "in a hand-off game with Smutrich" .

In light of the rage in his party, Peretz today held a meeting with the party's deputy mayors forum together with the party's chief executive Nir Orbach. The parties discussed the various positions in a positive manner. It was agreed that the agreement with Jewish power would come to the center's approval and that female representation in the quintet would be needed. Minister Peretz and the Forum will meet again in the next 48 hours to make further decisions.
