Iranian Ministry of Security services seized a shipment of American weapons in Isfahan province, central Iran, which was preparing to be used as part of the plan of recent riots and unrest in the country.
The Revolutionary Prosecutor of the city of Isfahan Ali Isfahani said in a statement today that the shipment included more than 126 weapons of machine guns and pistols and 900 rounds that were smuggled from the western borders to the country and were seized with the efforts of the security forces in Isfahan province, noting that five of those accused of the smuggling process were arrested and handed over To the judicial authorities.
Isfahani explained that this quantity of weapons was smuggled in the context of their use in the scheme of recent riots and unrest in the country, pointing out that most of the smuggled guns are an American industry and are known in America for using them in terrorist operations.
