  • Almost turned into a meal. The Tigris and Sean

Deadly instinct: The Dublin Zoo tiger has become a network star after a number of zoo visitors have uploaded videos of the animal sneaking at their children while visiting the zoo, leaping towards them - with only the glass partition separating them from its jaws.

Luckily for this Irish youngster, there was a big sheet of glass between him and a full-sized Siberian tiger when his family made a Christmas visit to Dublin Zoo. pic.twitter.com/JgmHtcIsb5

The first to upload a video of The Hungry Tigers was Rob K. From Dublin, who photographed his son Sean as he stands with his back to the Tigers complex. The video shows one of the tigers in the zoo slowly approaching Sean's - slowly stopping in place as Sean turns toward him. At some point, the tigress storms toward Shaun and leaps at him with a gaping jaw and fingernails - just to hit the glass partition.

Rob uploaded the disturbing video to Twitter, stating that "my son was part of the Dublin Zoo menu" and received 46,900 likes, 11,000 comments and 9,500 retweets. One of the reactions was particularly surprising, another father uploaded a video of the same tiger in the zoo infiltrating and leaping at another group of children visiting the zoo, frightening them as well.

Same day! My daughter and 2 nephews would be tasty little morsels for this poor hungry kitty! #dublinzoo #rte @rtenews @rte @DublinZoo pic.twitter.com/0pGFMdBI7V

However, not all surfers have taken the father's side, and some have noted that it is unfortunate that such an animal is in captivity, noting that such animals should not be kept in zoos.
